The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has announced Catalyst Housing as his development partner for a major redevelopment of the St Ann’s Hospital site in Tottenham.

Catalyst’s plans for the site involve building 934 homes, with 50 of these affordable homes set aside for community-led housing, enabling local people to own some of the homes and making St Ann’s one of the largest community-led housing schemes in London.

On Saturday 25th Sept 2021 Abundance Centres were honoured to open Catalyst Housing’s first Peace and Wellbeing Festival designed to engage the local community in sharing their hopes and aspirations for the new development.

In this podcast we got to speak with Nicola Wheeler, Head of Community Investment, Catalyst Housing and members of her team about the path to equitable community development.

The whole day was wonderful and so we’ve got a series of podcast treats for you, stay tuned.

ITC0011: Creating Healthy Streets for St Ann’s – Community Event (11th Jan 2020 @Chestnuts N15)

The Creating Healthy Streets Group convened this public meeting where local residents and groups from across St Ann’s ward (Haringey) came to discuss the changes we would like to see in local streets.

Great ideas and tactics were generated to create greener, safer, less polluted streets in our community. This organisation is determined to become truly representative of local residents. More detail will be shared on these developments and new members are welcome.

  • Do you want less air pollution outside schools?
  • Do you want safe, accessible and pleasant walking and cycling routes for all?
  • Do you want less speeding and traffic on our roads?
  • Do you think there is more we can do to improve our green spaces across the ward?
  • Would you like to see less anti-social behaviour on our streets?

If you wish to contact the group please email – stannshealthystreets@gmail.com

STS0015: Introducing Unifiedknowledge on Bless Radio – Lady Leo and Astehmari reason on the future of African education

“I have just read the Unifiedknowledge Approach To Education

An in-depth summary to educating individuals.

I understand that Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics & Art will appear to be more interesting subjects than the way they are currently taught in our education system. This new approach, when implemented correctly, will enable one to engage positively and raise the learner’s attainment levels.

👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Well done Abundance Centres (UK)”
