Cadets from the Black Open University were honoured to open Melanin: The Dark Matter Conference held on Saturday 8th December 2018 at the Lewisham Village Centre. We gave an introduction to the way we are learning about the melanin molecular structure and its energy transformative effects.

The keynote presentation for the evening was from Dr Llaila Afrika, a highly respected elder in the field of holistic health education from and African place of being. Listen to him lecture in his inimitable style, the audience were visibly in awe.

Dr Llaila Afrika goes deeply into many serious points, yet his narrative is gentle and humorous; masterful and fearless.

Restoring Hormonal Harmony and Symphony was the topic Alexan Adjoa (Wisdom of Osun) discussed as part of the Chestnuts Community Centre Black History Month restoration celebration (Oct 2016). She discussed many ways to identify where the imbalances are, and natural, holistic therapies that can be very effective in balancing the body and getting the systems back “in tune”.

Women who experience hot flashes, night sweats, sleep issues, irritability, decreased libido, and/or weight gain, especially around the waistline, need to determine which system is out of tune. Here is the recording of the lecture.
